Non sono buone affatto.
Riassumendo VA non ha niente a che fare con LNUX....... http://biz.yahoo.com/smart/031208/20...reanews_1.html

Non trovo il link ma pare sia un estratto si un articolo di qualche
importante operatore finanziario.
By JAY PALMER
OK, BACK IN 1 B.C. -- before the crash, that is -- there was an excuse for
buying stocks trading at 50-plus times earnings ten years out. After all,
only old timers with gray hair had memories of stocks actually falling. But
that's no longer true: Today, every investor is aware of the dangers of
hype -- and indeed many figure that the tech sector as a whole is already
getting far too hyped.
Yet some foolish souls (calling them investors is just too kind) seem to
have already forgotten this important lesson, especially when it comes to
playing with fringe tech companies that may have been favored once but have
long since lost their institutional followings.
What we are talking about is a new, seriously inflated, mini-tech bubble on
the underbelly of the over-blown market -- one that has driven a barrelful
of small stocks up 20- and 30-fold from their 52-week lows in heavy trading.
What links these companies is the fact that none have any significant
institutional ownership (institutions that could sell into the rise) and
none seem to have any -- repeat, any -- fundamental reasons for rising.
No one has a better handle on this crazy new bubble than Chris Fox, who runs
a $400 million hedge fund for New York money managers Cramer, Rosenthal
McGlynn, and who -- let it be said -- stands to make a bundle when this
bubble bursts. "It's momentum buying without any regard to valuation by
people who don't care about fundamentals," he notes. To make his point,
Chris refers to three particularly egregious examples, all small but all
illustrations of the returning madness.
The first is VA Software, a company that now gets its money (or rather its
stream of quarterly losses) from running ad-driven Web sites where
tech-types can talk to each other, hardly a hot business model. But this
wasn't always the case. Back at the time of its 1999 IPO, when it shot up
from 30 to 320 on its first day of trading, the company was called VA Linux
and given the Nasdaq symbol of LNUX.
Although the company got out of the Linux business and changed its name two
years ago, it never changed its symbol. So, guess what? When Microsoft's CEO
Steve Ballmer came out and admitted early this year that the Linux computer
operating system posed a competitive threat to Windows, LNUX stock soared.
It rose more than 400% in seven months, from 1 to 4. If investors are
confused, a number of company insiders are not: They have been dumping stock
at a rapid clip.

E' questo che non capisco. Leggi le 2 news successive sulla versione 3.5,
e tutto ciò che essa implica. Leggi le dichiarazioni di ibm... Come sempre
mi sa che si dovranno aspettare i prox earnings di febbraio.
