Some interesting info to pass along. First off,
we can expect an update regarding the ORB phone sometime this week or next
(IR is not sure so don't twist the exact time; they are waiting on the
release) with an update of what occured at the Paris airshow. Apparently,
the interest in the phone is very high because it was tested in a hanger
with 5 or 6 other competitors and it was the only one that worked period!
Since I am a Navy pilot, I wanted to know how much interest was generated
with the Pentagon since they were in attendence. He said the interest level
was high on their behalf, but could not speculate any more than that. Stay
tuned there. It seems hush, hush.
Now, about the TC. LLV is the muni receiving the content right now and he
said Provo, Utah is the next area of interest. TAKE THAT FOR WHAT IT IS
WORTH. The streamed content is going well with no problems. He claimed no
one area in the company has precedence over the other, just the fact some
facets are driven by the demand of the consumer. The STBs are a bit of a
sleeper right now since the hospitality industry is still recovering from
the effects of 9/11, but it is still an important function of the company.
Fortunately, the ORB phone has got everyone excited around there and the TC
is making good progress. From talking with IR, I get the sense that the
company is well positioned in the market to grow rapidly within the next
couple of years IMHO. Stay long (that would be more than a few weeks for
some of you jokers.)
